Concert Tracker ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe environment for all users. This document explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed, as well as the rules you agree to follow when using our mobile application.
By installing and using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy, and you agree to abide by the User Conduct rules below.
1. User Conduct and Zero Tolerance Policy (EULA)
Concert Tracker is designed to be a safe, welcoming community for live music fans.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
By using Concert Tracker, you agree that you will not post, share, or transmit any content that is offensive, abusive, defamatory, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate. Users found violating these terms will have their accounts permanently suspended and their content removed without warning.
2. Information We Collect
A. Personal Data Provided by You
- Account Information: When you register an account, we collect your email address and authentication details. This authentication is securely managed through our third-party provider, Google Firebase Authentication.
- User-Generated Content (UGC): We collect content that you voluntarily post within the app, including comments on event discussion panels, custom group names, and profile information.
- Images: If you choose to upload a profile picture or other images, these files are processed and stored using Cloudinary.
B. Device Permissions & Hardware Data
To provide specific features, Concert Tracker requests access to certain device capabilities. You can choose to grant or deny these permissions at any time via your device settings:
- Calendar Access: Used exclusively to check for scheduling conflicts and help you manage your upcoming shows.
- Reminders Access: Used to set alerts and notify you before an event starts.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- To create and maintain your user account.
- To provide the core social and event tracking functionalities of the app.
- To filter out content from users you have blocked, and to process reporting flags for objectionable user-generated content in compliance with safety guidelines.
- To optimize and deliver images efficiently via Cloudinary.
- To communicate essential account updates (such as email verification).
4. Data Storage and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal data. We utilize trusted third-party cloud infrastructure to operate Concert Tracker securely:
- Google Firebase Auth: Handles secure user registration, login, and email verification.
- Supabase: Hosts our secure backend database where your profile data, groups, reports, and comments are stored.
- Cloudinary: Used for secure, optimized image hosting and delivery.
5. User Safety and Moderation (UGC)
In accordance with App Store safety requirements, Concert Tracker implements strict reporting and blocking mechanisms.
- If you report a user or content, that data is stored securely for administrative review and appropriate action.
- If you block a user, their unique identifier is cached locally on your device and stored on our database to permanently hide their content from your user interface.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may instantly delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the app by navigating to Account Settings > Delete Account. Once initiated, your data is permanently removed from our databases.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy & Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new document within the app or updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
